A quick price guide for the Leica D-Lux 4, user cameras, not collectables
A quick gut-check for any listing below — condition and accessories shift the line, so always read the listing. Special edition, special finish, and camera plus lens/accessory bundle pricing is not included in the fair price calculation.
The Leica D-Lux 4 (2008), a Panasonic LX3 sibling, is the first D-Lux that earned a devoted shooter following. It kept the 10-megapixel resolution of the D-Lux 3 but moved to a slightly larger 1/1.63" sensor and, more importantly, a much faster f/2.0-2.8 Leica DC Vario-Summicron lens at a wider 24-60mm-equivalent range, plus a proper raw workflow and real PASM manual controls. The f/2.0 wide end was genuinely fast for a compact of its era and changed the camera's character in low light. On the used market it remains the sensible entry point into the small-sensor D-Lux experience.
