How Much Is a Used Leica M Edition 60 Worth? (2026 Price Guide)
Live data, refreshed daily. Last updated . Reviewed by Ked, a Leica M shooter (film and digital).
The Leica M Edition 60, often called the M60, is the screen-free digital M Leica built in 2014 to mark 60 years of the M system. Based on the M-P (Typ 240), it shares that camera's 24MP full-frame CMOS sensor and rangefinder but wraps them in a stainless-steel body designed together with Audi Design. It removes the rear LCD entirely and replaces it with an ISO dial, so the camera works like a film M: shutter, aperture, focus, and ISO, and nothing else. It records only uncompressed DNG. Limited to 600 units and sold as a set with a matching stainless-steel Summilux-M 35mm f/1.4 ASPH, it was the concept that led to the screen-free M-D (Typ 262). It is a collector piece and trades accordingly on the used market.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can a used Leica M Edition 60 still be serviced?
Usually yes. Leica services many current and recent models, and independent specialists handle older and discontinued bodies, including the clean-lube-adjust (CLA) that vintage cameras often need. Parts can be limited on older or electronic models, so budget for a possible service and factor a CLA into the price on a body that has not been serviced recently.
Why is the Leica M60 so expensive, and what should I check?
Three things drive the price: it is a 600-unit limited edition, it is a complete set that includes a matching stainless-steel Summilux-M 35mm f/1.4 ASPH lens, and it has strong collector demand as the first screen-free digital M. Most of what trades is near-mint or unused, so condition, the matching numbered lens, the original presentation box and papers, and a low or notable serial all matter to value. Confirm the set is complete and that the camera and lens match the documentation, since the lens is a large part of what you are paying for. As a digital body, its sensor and electronics should be tested like any used digital M.
