The Leica If, produced from 1952 to about 1957, is the flash-synchronized, finder-less screw-mount Leica, built on the IIIf body with no rangefinder or viewfinder and two accessory shoes. It has built-in flash sync but no slow speeds, a 1/1000 top speed, and the 39mm screw mount. Like the IIIf it comes in a scarcer early black-dial version (made only in 1952) and a common later red-dial version, distinguished by the color of the numbers on the sync ring.
